Jolly Phonics is a program that connects letters and their sounds to actions and stories to help students make connections.
Most consonants make the same sound in French and English (an exception is 'h' which is silent in French but not in English) . Vowels are more difficult because they have different sounds in both languages and even make different sounds within English alone (i.e. short and long vowel sounds)
